Today's FREE Track: CALDER -- NONE on Mondays and Tuesdays. One or two tracks at most by advance request only from our Monthly Subscribers on the above two days. (This is NOT the FREE track pick of your choice as mentioned above - this is the track of our own choice for the day).

All contenders are listed in order of preference and by their official track betting program numbers. No mistakes on our part!
You may place cold bets on these horses and use them in your exotics as well if you wish. The horses below are powerful contenders.
And win or lose you'll get real value for your betting dollar since these horses will put up a strong racing effort today and they won't give up without a fight. Hopefully!
We let the current live odds dictate our betting strategy and you should do likewise.
For example...if you have 3 or 4 selections in a race and one of them is a heavy favorite then you should KEY that horse with the rest of the selections in your exotics and bet the remaining to win, place or show depending on the odds, especially if they go off at higher odds.
Say, an exacta with an even money on top and the other 3 or 4 horses at the bottom of the exacta AND also bet those 3 or 4 horses to win.
Or you may do a reverse exacta or triple with the heavy fave at the bottom of the exacta or triple for a better payoff. The same principle applies if there are 6 or more contenders in the race.
That being the case then you may just want to press the ALL button with the KEY horse.
And of course, to keep things simple, you may just bet any of our selections to win only, if they go off at odds of 7/1 or better and not lower than that.
On average you will hit about 2 races out of 10 but the big payoffs will more than make up for the 8 losing races!You will notice from time to time that there are races where it seems that we have listed the entire field as selections.
Everything is done for a reason. When you see just about the whole field listed in a race it means that every horse has a deserving angle or angles and that the race therefore is an extremely competitive one!
This being the case, you should then do a few combinations of longshots with the one or two faves as keys, on top and bottom of exotics and also play the longshots to win.
Or, just forget all about the exotics if you don't have a big bankroll and just play the longshots to win.
Our longshot is one of our selections that goes off at odds of 7/1 or higher!
The more competitive a race becomes, the more of a crap shoot the race is, making it more difficult to handicap, but at the same time the more likely it is that a longshot will win the race, rewarding you nicely!
Keep an open eye and don't go overboard!
